Physical Activity for Children

Staying physically active is an important part of having a healthy lifestyle. Continue reading for some fun ways to get kids moving! Exercising regularly helps kids build stronger muscles and bones, maintain a healthy weight, build self-esteem, reduce stress and anxiety, and sleep better. Despite all the advantages of being physically active, less than 35% of kids get the recommended amount of physical activity. This lack of regular exercise keeps children from reaching their full potential for good health, gives them less energy for school, and puts them at risk of chronic diseases such as obesity, diabetes, and hypertension.  Children should receive regular chiropractic checkups and adjustments to keep them active, healthy, and prevent future injuries and long-term problems from developing.  Many of the chronic nagging problems we face as aging adults can be prevented if we receive routine chiropractic care throughout our lives. Start young and live healthy, happy and long!
